Totally Exquisite: Our Ghee Wins Highest ‘Great Taste’ Award
At Happy Butter, we take enormous pride in our traditionally made butter ghee, and we know that our customers love its versatility, flavour, and health benefits. That’s why we are delighted that our product has received the highest possible accolade of three stars from the prestigious Great Taste Award judges in 2025.
Just to give some context: the Great Taste Awards were established by The Guild of Fine Food in 1995 to recognise the highest quality independent food and drink producers. Over the years, the awards have grown into the world’s most trusted food accreditation scheme with over 12,000 entrants each year.
You’ve probably noticed the circular black and gold logo on various winning products. The logo displays one, two or three gold stars depending on the level of excellency agreed by the judges: one star = delicious, two stars = outstanding, and three stars = exquisite (fewer than two per cent of products are awarded three stars!).
We are extremely proud of our track record as winners of two stars three times, and for winning three stars this year for the second time. This reflects the care and consistency that we have poured into developing our artisan organic ghee.
Happy Butter is more than just a brand name: no part of the production is outsourced to third parties, and we always use British organic butter, bought directly from farms wherever possible.
We use gentle cooking methods and make small batches rather than mass-produce at high heat. The end result is a fine quality ghee with a pleasing texture, aroma and flavour, and all the nutritional goodness (including abundant vitamins A D E & K) is preserved.
Our customers often use our ghee to support specialist diets such as Keto, Paleo, GAPS, FODMAP, or Ayurvedic, or simply to enrich their everyday cooking.
